News and information about the Shenmue series could be found regularly within these pages from the end of 1999 through to 2001 with the release of Shenmue II.

And now for the highlights!
First of all, Space Harrier. ACE@HIRAKATA had been in second place, but won first place just before the deadline! That was really impressive.
Next up is QTE Title. SADAKO♀ had been in second place before 2 p.m., then overtook first-placed H.TA. I thought they were going to be the runaway winner, but to our surprise, DORO, who wasn't even within the top 30, jumped up to the first place to claim victory. What a surprise!
Last but not least, Forklift Racing. Up until just before the deadline, ZEUS had been in second place but scraped in to win first place. YUMEYA, although you unfortunately ended up in second place, please use this disappointment as a stepping stone to a new record. We're looking forward to seeing what you can do.
These were the highlights of this year's Network Rankings Competition.

News: Creation of a "Shenmue Spoilers BBS"
Since the number of spoiler posts on the Shenmue BBS* has been growing, we would like to set up a BBS specially for spoilers.
*Note from Switch: A BBS, or Bulletin Board System, was a type of online forum that was popular in the 1980s and 1990s before the widespread adoption of the internet.
Spoilers BBS Set-Up Date
1:30 - 4:00 p.m., 15th February, 2000
During set-up, the servers of the Shenmue Official Web Site will be down, so the contents of the site will not be available. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
That's all for now from Software R&D Department No. 2, brought to you by Takuan. (I won't be satisfied until I've got all my crates placed properly within the grid markings).
